What Does Pain In The Joints And Ankles Indicate?

checking this out for a friend. All her joints hurt, ankles hurt to the touch and can barely move her left knee. she just got over the flu but still has chills and night sweats. Also, no appetite. If she sits or lies down it s very painful to get up, walking is better but standing hurts . she said she also has weird sores like spider bites that are painful and swollen.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Further investigations are needed in your case to evaluate your joint pain. Your CBC, Rheumatoid factor, ANA, CRP, serum uric acid like investigation should be done for primary work up. After that if needed local knee and ankle joint X-rays can also be taken to investigate further. Take care and consult an orthopedic surgeon for examination.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Parth Goswami
