Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have a chest pain just below my throat. It is there most of the time. But my breathing is absolutely normal. I sometimes go for walks between 30 min to an hour in the morning. Sometimes in the evening too. Can you tell me what’s causing this pain.
The pain at suprasternal area or upper chest may be due to: 1. GERD (Gastro Esophageal Reflux Disease) 2 Substernal thyroids 3. Acute thyroiditis 4. Trauma 5. Bronchitis/laryngitis
Until examination it is difficult to say what it is. Consult your physician and get ECG and chest x-ray done.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Penchila Prasad Kandikattu
