Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, I’m a 29 year old female in generally good health. Today I had chest pain behind the left breast. It felt like occasional squeezing over the course of a couple of hours. The pain stopped about 2 hours ago but now I feel achey. Should I be concerned?
This is probably muscular in origin. Try and remember if you did anything unusual like life anything heavy or stretch in a particular way.
*do you have any other discomfort while you had the pain? Like breathing difficulty, giddiness, sweating. If yes, then you need to see a doctor right away. If it recurs again and is severe, see a doctor then too.
If not, then just apply anti-inflammatory ointment and hot compresses over the area.
Hormonal changes can also cause breast pain, usually around your period time. This will pass. A hot bath will help. Hope this helps.. Please let me know if there is anything I can help you with. Wish you good health
