General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

The numbness on left hand and leg indicates most likely sequence of cerebro vascular accident or ischemic stroke at the time of initial complain, which has damaged respective regions of brain which are controlling left hand and leg as routinely right cerebral hemisphere in most of the cases. However, a recent MRI brain will help to reveal best information needed to co relate on clinical grounds.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
