hi i got my urinalysis..what does it mean doc:?? color: light yellow appearance: slightly Turbid sugar: negative reaction: acidic specific gravity: 1.015 protien: negative MICROSCOPIC: pus cells: 1-3 /hpf red cells: 0-2 /hpf cast/s: epithelial cells: mucus threads: (+) cristals: A. urates (++)

hi.

based from the results, you have stones (represented by the crystals/urates on your urine) somewhere in your urinary tract. these stones can cause irritation, inflammation or infection. it is best if you consult with a doctor, preferably a urologist, for physical examination and clinical evaluation. diagnostics, such as KUB ultrasound and/or CT-stonogram, are used to further investigate the problem. management (medical and/or procedural/surgical) will be directed accordingly. increasing oral fluid intake is also suggested.
