What Does My Thyroid Test Report Indicate?
Hi, Please find my thyroid test done. comments show: SUGGESTING THYRONORMALCY TOTAL TRIIODOTHYRONINE (T3) C.L.I.A 116 ng/dl 60 - 200 TOTAL THYROXINE (T4) C.L.I.A 10 μg/dl 4.5 - 12.0 THYROID STIMULATING HORMONE (TSH) C.L.I.A 1.28 μIU/ml 0.30 - 5.5 I am taking Thyroxine 100 one tablet daily. Can it be continue or to be reduced the dose. Rgds S N Sharma

As the T3, T4 and TSH reports are under control, if the same is the consistency over a period of more than 3 months, without symptoms in a person, in my clinic, I do recommend a dose reduction to maintain the same. However, individual physician policy may defer for certain clinical cases and same must be discussed with your physician before deciding the dose adjustment.
