I was misdiagnosed with an ankle sprain 8 weeks ago. I ve been walking on it with a brace and occasionally a walking boot. The MRI results have now shown a nondisplaced distal tibia fracture. I feel like it has gotten better because the pain with walking is very little now compared to 8 weeks ago. Do I now need to be nonweight bearing or can I continue to walk on it? The original X-ray did not show the fracture.
current state of fracture indicates whether you should walk or not. simply experiencing less pain does not mean that the fracture is healed. you should consult an orthopedic surgeon who will assess and guide you further.
