Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My husband has episodes with a bonding heartbeat accompanied by feelings that he is going to pass out. He just had an MRI that shows a bulging disk in his neck. Could this cause this? His doctor wants to do another MRI of his brain, but he isn t sure she has looked at the MRI of his neck. What would she be looking for in his brain?

What Does My MRI Scan Report Indicate?
Hello and thanks for using HCM. I have read your question and understand your concerns. Bulging disc on neck doesn t cause symptoms such heartbeat issues or passing out, it may cause pain, numbness in neck, shoulders or arms and hands. A brain MRI may show brain lesions such vascular malformations, tumors, etc., that may cause sometimes seizures. In my opinion, cardiac workup is also necessary to evaluate conditions such arrythmias, etc. Hope you found the answer helpful. Kind regards.
