What Does My MRI Scan Report Indicate?

Hi, I am a 46 year old physically active female. Had a left knee MRI that shows intact ACL reconstruction an full-thickness chondral defects in the medial femoral condyle measuring 12x8 mm and lateral femoral condyle measuring 8x8 mm. My Regence insurance plan will not cover any viscosupplement options. Any other recommendations for treatment? I have pain while walking, running, and often swelling after running. thank you -m

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

As there is defect in medial femoral condyle of around 1 cm and 8mm in lateral femoral condyle, the option of viscosupplement is the best way to cure in finest path.

However, if you can provide me MRI plates, still further I can elaborate the issue in details as per my clinical experience.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Wishing you all the best.
