What Does My MRI Scan Report Indicate?

Greetings........The MRI of the Brain findings are;
Diffuse brain atrophy
chronic periventricular micro ischemic changes
I am 70 yrs old male, and I have high pressure in my eyes(28),no other sickness, but I have double vission, head pressure and blurry vission, during the last three weeks. I have been using eye drops like ( Zioptan , Cosopt) with many side effects .My concern is about this findings

Hello

MRI findings suggests diffuse brain atrophy and chronic periventricular microangiopathic ischemic changes( due to compromised blood supply).
These are generally due to involvement of small blood vessels.
It is generally due to conditions like hypertension,diabetes mellitus,altered lipid profile etc.
Ischemic changes may be due to hypertension in your case.You may need to control hypertension.

Diffuse brain atrophy is a expected finding in your age.Brain atrophy is due to aging and this is seen in every person with aging.This specific finding doesn't require any treatment.

You may need detail evaluation for eye problem.You should consult ophthalmologist.
