What Does My MRI Indicate?

Hi, MRI - what does, the osseous structures intact without evidence for fracture or AVN. The joint spaces appear preserved, mild fluid within the flexor policis longus tendon sheath consistent with tenosynovitis. age indeterminate, soft tissue edema along the ulnar aspect of thumb, possibly reflecting contusion or reactive edema.

Hi
i did review your concern. The MRI is indicative of soft tissue pathology also commonly known as dequervain's tenosynovitis or due to some blunt trauma to your hand. Since there is no fracture you need not worry about any long term morbidity. Tenosynovitis if not due to injury occurs due to frequent screwing motion and bending of fingers and wrist.
steroids may help initially if it does not resolve on its own in some cases.
I hope this helps.
Let me know if you have any more questions or concerns.
wish you a very healthy life ahead.
