The term thyroid nodule refers to an abnormal growth of thyroid cells than forms a lump within the thyroid gland.Thyroid nodules are among the most common endocrine complaint.Most of these nodules are benign with only a few cancerous.Thyroid nodules are not to be taken lightly.I will advise you see an endocrinilogist to evaluate your wife and determine what type of thyroid nodules they are.
