What Does Mucus In Stool Indicate?

Hi Doc, Just wondered what having what I can only describe as Chewed up elastic band mucus looking stuff twirled around my poop may be? I did get some cramp when passing but not every time. Couple of occasions when I passed, I felt faint and overwhelmed. Not something that happens to me. Also while this was going, sometimes at work I would feel sudden urges of lethargy. Very strange. Update : At that price I ll go see my GP thanks all the same. He s already been paid : )

hello.
welcome to HCM.
well, you are having some intestinal infections to be precise.
these are very common an nothing to be worried of initially.
do the following-

avoid fatty and junk food.
take plenty of fluids and dietary fibers.
take tab ofloxacin-ornidazole twice daily for 5 days.
you can consult your GP for the prescription and further management.

hope this was useful.
regards
