What Does Itching In The Vagina Indicate?

Hi, I’ve had an itch outside my vagina for the last few weeks. It was an occasional irritant but nothing unbearable. The last few days it’s spread to the rest of my pubic region, not my vagina, just the area my pubic hair grows. I’ve checked my groin almost constantly for days for signs of lice and haven’t found any signs of lice or nits (though I haven’t had sexual contact for three months). It is worse at night. I don’t have access to a doctor (I live in a foreign country with a big language barrier). Tiger balm seems to help the itching so I can sleep, but if I touch the area it flares itching again. It’s not particularly red, no rash or spots of any kind. Could this be an allergy or a long dormant std? Thanks so much for any advice you can give me.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello Dear.

Thank you for using HealthcareMagic.
I read your query and I understand your concern.
I think you are suffering from a mycotic vaginal infection. The only way to cure it is taking some anti-fungal drugs such Cotrimoxazole 1 % cream 5 grams inter-vaginally and on the pubic zone a play at night for 7 days. Or Myconazole 2% 5gms daily.

Hope my answer was helpful.

Best Regards.
