What Does It Mean When MRI Shows No Changes In Ring Lesion After A Focal Seizure Attack?

Hi.. My brother is suffering from Brain TB or NCC.. no idea Its been 2 months..He is taking Brain TB Medicines..And he had only one focal seizure attack.. The recent MRI shows there is no improvement in Ring Lesion but improvement in sweeling is showing.. What does it mean? And the doctor which we are into..He suggested to do surgery after 2 months..If still there will be no improvement.. As surgery is very big step.. Please suggest???
