What Does Inter Menstrual Vaginal Bleeding Indicate?

I have some light bleeding but it is not my period. I also have cramping. My periods have been about 21 days apart and not 28. I have been bleeding/spotting for 2 weeks. I also have some clots. My appointment with my gynecologist is not until 4/5- they couldn t see me before then. Should I be concerned?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

Inter-menstrual bleeding what you are experiencing could be due to cervicitis or presence of a uterine polyp.

You would need clinical evaluation and ultrasound scan to know what could be the reason for it. Kindly consult obstetrician for proper evaluation and appropriate management.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ivan R. Rommstein,
General Surgeon
