What Does High W.b.c. Count In Child Indicate?

my children w.b.c. count high such a 19600.and diff.w.b.c. count is- 1.neutrophils---85% 2.lymphocyte----------11% 3.monocyte--------------2% 4.eosinophils-----------2% ,please explain me its effect on my children body.thank you

thanks for your question. it somewhat depends on the age if your child and the normal values in the lab where you had the blood work performed. a high white cell count can be indicative of an infection most commonly but can also represent other conditions which you would want to exclude if your child does not have a infection that explains it.
