my 4 yr old son, has high protien in his urine. we took a sample of his urine to his doctor. is this normal for children to have high protien levels and should we be worried that he may have some type of "kidney" disease??? We have not received his lab results yet. He is also adopted, and we do not know if biological parents have any kidney problems... What should we be expecting and is this painful for him??
Hello, Mostly the problem is due to bephrotic syndrome which is very common in kids and right tretment with right nephrologist wont harm him. Early diagnosis and treatment is always the best option.
