What Does Hard, Moving Lump Around The Knee Mean?

Hi, I have a lump as hard as a bone that sometimes moves out and moves around my knee when I play with it, and I can move it into a particular place in my knee and it just slides back into its spot but more often than not when I walk it does pop out. Its about 3 quarters of the size of an almond. Please help me this. I d like to get rid of this issue. What can I do?
