What Does Green Colored Urination After Taking Uribel Indicate?

Can I tell whether or not I have an infection with Mirabel? Dr. s nurse gave me some to use 4x s a day but and has written an antibiotic prescription for me but the final results have yet to be confirmed. Since taking the first Uribel capsule My urine has turned a greenish color. What does that mean? Do I actually have an infection or not?

Hi,

Uribel is a urinary antiseptic and it has Methenamine and Methylene Blue as active ingredients.

Your urine may turn green or blue, after taking Uribel which it is quite common and it is due to the presence of Methylene Blue component. Nothing much to worry and it will stop once you stop taking Uribel.

You can go for some urine routine test to look for any urinary tract infection.

As of now, drink plenty of water to keep yourself hydrated.
