What Does Fluttering Sensation In The Chest Indicate?

The past week and a half I have felt a flutter in my chest and I have to catch my breath. There are times it makes me feel light headed. I have taken aspirin and other times taken Tums and it seems fine. I had blood work done end of August and was told all was good- just needed to start taking D3 pills. 46 years old, working on losing weight but have not done anything out of the ordinary to understand this. It comes on all of the sudden then goes away. ???

hello,
chest flutter may indicate arrhythmia especially in your case as you have mentioned you also have light headedness and breathlessness. I will suggest you to consult physician as he will be able to perform detailed clinical examination (pulse, heart sounds etc) and cetain test if required.
