What Does Fever Followed By Runny Nose And Cough In 11 Month Indicate?

I have an 11 month old boy, he had a cold about three weeks ago, with fevers persisting for 10 days of the cold. He finally got better after 2 weeks, and now a week later, he has a runny nose and now a severe cough. What should I watch for? and when should I be concerned?

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,

For a 11-month-old with recurrent fever, cough and cold, do a blood investigation before that, ensure the child had no foreign object impacted in nostril and chest X-ray to rule out any structural abnormalities.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Prasanna Lakshmi, Pediatrician
