What Does Fetal Biometry Report That Shows SEFW: 1489 Grams Indicate?

Hi! Im Raine.. Im 26 yrs old.. The result of my fetal biometry are: Within the gravid uterus is a single live fetus in cephalic presentation with good cardiac (FHR: 144 bpm) and somatic activities with the following biometric features: 1. BPD: 7.58 cms = 30 3/7 wks 2. OFD: 8.70 cms Cephalix index: 80% (0.75-0.85) 3. HC: 28.23 cms = 31 wks 4. AC: 25.71 cms = 29 6/7 wks 5. FL: 5.67 cms = 29 5/7 wks 6. SEFW: 1489 grams (3 lb 5 oz - Hadlock) 7. PLACENTA: Anterior, High-Lying, Grade 2 8. AMNIOTIC FLUID INDEX: 12.79 cm IMPESSION: Single live intrauterine pregnancy, in cephalic presentation 29 6/7 wks by average ultrasound aging, with good cardiac and somatic activities normohydramnios Placenta anterior, high-lying, grade 2 Sonographic estimated fetal weight is appropriate for gestational age Sonographic estimate date of delivery: December 12, 2014 Question: What does this result means? Is it in normal ranges? Is there something I should be worrying about my baby s condition?

Thanks for writing to HCM

Your antenatal USG finding is absolutely normal.
There is single intrauterine live fetus with cephalic presentation(means fetal head is towards maternal pelvis).
Average maturity of fetus is 29 weeks 6 days.
BPD(Bi parietal diameter)measures 7.58 cm corresponds to 30 weeks 3 days.
HC(Head circumference)measures 28.23 cm corresponds to 31 weeks 4 days.
FL(Femur length) measures 5.67 cm corresponds to 29 weeks 5 days.
AC(Abdominal circumference )measures 25.71 cm corresponds to 29 weeks 6 days.

Estimated fetal weight(EFW)is 1489 grams.
Fetal heart rate(FHR)is 144 beats /min.
Placenta is situated in anterior wall of uterus with grade II maturity.
Liquor is also normal in amount.
So,every thing is with normal range.
