What Does Enhancing Lesion In Left Parietal Lobe Mean?

Persistent 1.2 cm ring enhancing lesion in the left parietal lobe adjacent to the resection cavity is stable to minimally increased in size.While this could represent a demyelinating lesion, the persistence and proximity to the resection site are worrisome for progression of tumor What does thismean?

Thanks for writing in.

It will help to know earlier scan findings and tumor resection in the past. Based on previous medical history there is a 1.2 cm ring lesion in left parietal lobe which most likely fits into the possibility of an area with demyelinating changes.

Its also described that the ring enhancing lesion is almost the same as on earlier studies with suspicious little increase in size. They have raised a concern regarding the spread of this in future and ease of resectability is also discussed.

This doesn't look like an emergency but necessitates discussion with tresting doctor after having comparing with old scans.
