What Does Dull Pain In The Upper Abdomen On The Left Side While Sitting Indicate?

When I lay on my back and sometimes when i am sitting I get this pain in the left upper quadrant of the abdomen. It is a very dull ache that does not go away until I get up and and get moving. I have tried, Ice, heat, Voltarian Jell, Ibuprofen (not all at the same time) and get no relief. My Internal Specialist is baffled and is racking her brain on which direction to refer me. She referred a Neurologist who wouldn t even see me because he felt that this pain was not in his department. Now I am back at square 1. I have embedded kidney stones and under the care of the Kidney department at the University of Washington. I ask him if this pain could be caused from these stone. He said no it would not be. So I am now reaching out to cyber medical . I just need some direction. Thank you
