Hello,I had a discharge last June that makes me wonder up to this day...it looks like a form of blood clot that Looks like a forming baby in a sac ..My mom said I might have a miscarriage....but I didn t feel any pain and no signs that I am pregnant....after that discharge 13days after I went to the obgyne....showed the photo to her she said it was just a blood....but found out that I am really 5weeks pregnant .....I wish I could send you the photo also...is it normal to have those kind of discharge in the start of pregnancy?coz when I had my first baby I didn t have that kind.....clarification please
It really wouldn't be normal to have a lot of blood, or a blood clot, at the beginning of pregnancy. Some women do have implantation bleeding when the fetus attaches to the uterus, but this bleeding is usually light without any clots. If you tested positive for pregnancy after this, I would wonder if maybe there was still pregnancy hormone in your body after a miscarriage. Either way, an ultrasound anytime from now to the next week or so should be able to clarify if you are still pregnant or not.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Aaron Branch, General & Family Physician
