What Does Cloudiness In Left Lower Lobe As Seen In CT Scan Specify?
Hi, my sister has had shortness od breath since the week before Christmas. She has been hospitalized twice Her heart has checked out fine and her lungs were fine. No one knows what was causing her severe shortness of breath. Her white count was high so she was started on an antibiotic and a steroid to help her bronchial open. The steroid seemed to make her worse (which resulted in her 2nd admission to the hospital). She had a CT scan which showed a cloudy left lower lobe. She is to have another CT scan in 3 more weeks. What do you suppose this cloudiness means?

it can mean either she is having pneumonitis of the lower lobe or some kind of congestion she will need detailed consult with a pulmonologist and only then we can reach a diagnosis
