What Does Burning Sensation In The Vagina During Intercourse Indicate?

My boyfriend and I have been together for a little over a year and we both decided to start having sex. The firs time was fine but the second and third there was a burning sensation at the bottom of my vagina during penetration. It was so painful he had to stop. We use condoms and neither of us have any infections or stds. Could I be allergic to latex or is it just the angle he is going in at? Or could it be something else?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

It can be because of two reasons. Firstly, there could be an allergy to latex condom (because without condom you were not having burning sensation). You can stop using latex condom and use polyurethane made condoms to look for any improvement. Secondly, lack of secretion or dryness in vagina can be the possibilities. For that, foreplay can be done and use Xylocaine gel before intercourse.

Hope I have solved your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
