What Does Burning Sensation Behind The Head Indicate?

Hi! I have been experiencing burning at the back of my head- not on the scalp, but almost as if it is on my brain, which sometimes moves to the sides next to my ears. I do suffer from anxiety/obsessive thoughts etc and have tried hypnotherapy, neurofeedback, chinese medicine, therapies etc. It seems to flair up when I get an incredibly anxious thought, even when I am not consciously thinking about anything but seems to come from an irrational part of the brain. My QEEG stated that I have excessive beta waves in the parietal lobe and left temporal lobes, could this be causing it? Would you have any idea what could be causing this? Thank you!

Ophthalmologist 's  Response
Hi,

It is not possible for you to know impulses originating from a different part of the brain. They are neurological problem. It requires assessment by a neurologist. Maybe MRI is required so that any problem in the brain can be detected, otherwise, a clinical examination can be done to detect the problem. It may be anxiety obsessive disorder from a different part of the brain. Accordingly, you can consult the specialist.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ashok Kumar Dash,
