Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Does Bulky Uterus On An Ultrasound Report Indicate?
Please the radiological report states that my uterus is slightly bulky, is anteverted and shows a very thin endometrical stripe with little fluid within the cavity (post menses). There is 4.96×4.75cm mixed-echogeneric mass with a central cystic area, in the posterior fundal wall. Both ovaries show normal size follicles. No mass or fluid detected in the Pouch of Douglas.
It is an early sign of fibroids. Nothing much to worry and no definite treatment is required. The only followup is needed. If you experience symptoms like pain or bleeding, consult a gynecologist and get evaluated.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
