What Does Blood In Stool Indicate?

Yes I am a 46 year old male and on and off since for about a month. I would find blood in my stool and sometimes heavier blood in the toilet water. I thought it was the cranberry red bull because I do feel well otherwise but the blood concerns me. Is this hemmoroids or something more serious?
