Hi. I have been experiencing some bleeding in my stool and possibly in urine. I got tested for a urinary tract infection. well.. that s not it. had a ct scan. That turned out perfect. no problems. I had a cystopscopy. that turned out perfect too. No problems. I just had these two tests done this month. I have no pain anywhere. my appetite is normal. my blood is normal Meaning it isn t darker than usual. It doesn t hurt when I go to the bathroom. have noticed sometimes when I have to go to the bathroom right away.. stool comes out and a bit of blood sometimes. This has been going on for months. what is it?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Colonoscopy can be considered to take an in depth looks at the colon but the urinary tract appears to have been thoroughly investigated.

There are some persons who may have a small amount of blood in the urine with no obvious cause.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Michelle Gibson James
