What Does Bleeding While On Contraceptive Implant Indicate?

I have a contraceptive implant, I had it put in Sept 2013. it should be due to be removed Sept 2016. I haven t had a period for the majority of that time. Over the last few weeks my breasts have got bigger and started to hurt, yesterday I noticed that I was bleeding a little bit, today its become a bit more. Should I be worried or is this just a period?

Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
The reason why you are experiencing symptoms of bleeding and soreness in the breasts could be due to side effects of the contraceptive implant.
It should subside by itself gradually.
Kindly consult Gynecologist in this regard in case the symptoms doesn't subside, to get yourself properly evaluated and manged accordingly.
Hope the information provided would be helpful.
