What Does Black Spots On Vaginal Lips Indicate?

Hii I have kinda brown ish black spots on the inside of the lips of my vagina .. There not lumps but kinda look like blood clots or like I got burned there?.. On each side there s about 7-8 but there really small I noticed it right after I shaved but I don t know how long they been there I m young so it s kinda embarrassing going to my mom about this I m 17 but she don t know I m sexually active .. They don t bleed or anything but I know if I was to squeeze them properly but I d have to apply pressure .. I wanna go to a doctor but I kinda need a to know is this something I should be worried about

Hi.

I have gone through your query. There are several possible reasons for black spots over the vagina. Here are the common and important ones -
Skin irritation
Vaginal candidiasis

When you shave skin, it will get injured and when healing, the skin may turn dark in color. This is because the skin is healing and the new skin is darker. Usually using a sitz bath and a mild moisturising cream can help reduce the black spots. Wearing loose cotton clothing and drinking lots of water can help as well.

Candidias is seen when one has a candiasis infection. This is a type of yeast. This can cause black spots, whitish discharge and some smell. Usually, the following can help with this -
Drinking lots of water
Drinking probiotics
Wearing loose cotton clothing
Avoiding using scented personal care products
