Hi I feel really horrible because I am a nanny and the little boy I look after fell mid way down the stairs. Carpeted stairs, was quite slow, no other injury other than a really red swollen cheek. He feel/rolled onto his back, then his forearms (which were luckily put up like a guard for his face), onto his back and then.. He landed on his cheek, his body was horizontal but his cheek was first to hit the stair. then his body rolled over onto his back and he stopped in the middle of the stairs. ... At the time I put Arnica cream on. anyways, its been a week and his cheek is not swollen, but is very black and bruised. Its slowly fading, very slowly. At the time, he wasnt feeling very well and has a fever. The fever cooled down quickly with coulpol. Im just worried as the mother didnt take him to the doctor and I am not entirely sure if he will be okay.
