General & Family Physician, Dr. Nishad BN's Response
Hi Thank you for asking HCM. I have gone through your query. Your problem can be most likely due to costochondritis. Pain while palpation on the rib area is characteristic for this. For such condition if you were my patient then i would treat with local anti inflammatory gels like ketoprofen. If pain is more then I advise oral tablets of ketoprofen also. If that is also not helping then i would recommend local injection of corticosteroids or anesthetic. Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear. Thanks.
