What Does An Abnormal Bowel Movement Indicate?

I have just had a BM and found a bright yellow blueberry shaped pod floating in the toilet. As disgusting as it sounds I decided to investigate and the pod was white inside and the consistency of a chickpea. Can you please tell me your thoughts on this and if I should be concerned?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

As far as it is not liquid, no need to worry for that kind of stool. It is normal to have such stool. You should be worried only if it is liquid (diarrhea), very foul smelling, associated with abdominal pain and or vomiting. Since all these are absent in your case, no need to worry or think too much about it.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
