Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My husband has a small sore in the middle of his forehead. Thought it was a pimple. It was not. He squeezed it last night and nothing came out but clear liquid. When he woke up this morning, there was a red streak coming from the sore and going across left side of his forehead stopping at the hairline. He says the sore itself is extremely painful.
I had gone through your question I can understand your concern.
As per your history of the lesion it seems to me the boil or furancle. It is a small lesion can be too much painful and even more at the site it is on your husband's forehead. Because there is less connective tissue at forehead and less space for fluids to accumulate, so it become too much painful and discharging. You don't need to worry it will heal within a week.
You can apply a local antibiotic cream like fuciderm 2-3 times daily, also don't. Squeeze it yourself because it may be infected with unsterilized hands. In case the lesion spread you may need a course of antibiotics but in consultation with a doctor though most of the times it will heal of its own within a week.
Hope the answer to your query, write us back in case you need further assistance.
Regards Dr Muzaffer Hussain Parray.
