What Does A Round Black Rash On The Forehead Indicate?

Hi, my name is Benjamin. I wanted to ask you something important. What is this black circle at the top of my fourhead on the edge of my hailine, in the middle? I have had it ever since I was 12 years old after a short haircut. It s still there and i m 19 years old now, and its still black and the same size as before.

Hi,

As per your query you have symptoms of round black rash on the forehead which seems to be due to inflammatory hyperpigmentation, eczema and could be heat rash.

Need not to worry. I would suggest you to
- Apply cold compresses on a black rash.
- Apply petroleum jelly and protect them from sun exposure.
- Avoid itching or pricking rashes.
- Apply a cream containing Benzoyl peroxide.

If the condition does not get well then consult a dermatologist for proper examination. The doctor may prescribe immunosuppressants along with corticosteroid ointment and antibiotics.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Harry Maheshwari, Dentist
