What Does A Red And Painful Bump Around The Anus Indicate?

Hello! I have a bump (about the size of my fingernail) on my right butt cheek, about an inch from my anus. It is a little red, it hurts when I touch it, and when I squeeze it, clear liquid comes out. I ve gotten little bumps before and they always go away, but I ve never thought to squeeze them. Will it just resolve itself?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello

I think as this has been going on for some time now, should see surgeon. To me it is due to possible anal fistula. However should consult with proctologist / surgeon to check it out. I think it won't go away on its own. You might require possible intervention.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. All the best.

Regards,
Dr. Albana Sejdini, General & Family Physician
