What Does A Protruding Bone In Foot Imply?

I have a bone protruding out over the arches of both feet but have pain mainly in left foot. Two nights ago my son dropped a toy on my left foot, it hurt but I figured the pain would ease and go away. Well, that s not the case, it s been throbbing, tingling, going numb and it hurts to walk. I can wiggle my toes without pain but there s a bruise above my three smaller toes, where most o the pain is. It hurts completely through to the underneath of my foot. I do not have a Dr. yet, am in process of finding one who takes my insurance, any help would be much appreciated!!!

If the protrusion is on the top of your foot, then it is likely just bony growth from a joint. The nerves on the top of your feet are very close to the surface, especially where you describe this bone. Try to rest your foot and elevate, avoid constricting shoes. There is a good possibility that your nerve is irritated and this can sometimes take longer to resolve.
