Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am a 18 yr old female and about 2 days ago I started experiencing pain whenever I sit down and I think there a a bump about more than 1 inch away from my anus, but I can not physically see any bump there but I think I can feel one and it has been about 2 days since the pain has started, but it don t hurt when I lie down. So, I am not sure what is wrong.
hi sir/madam, Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic.
The painful bump you have indicate Low-grade hemorrhoids.
The disease is caused by pathological venous dilation. The veins lose their elasticity and because of the problems with the anal valves, blood congestion occurs causing the forming of an anal lump. This is an irreversible process.
Surgical treatment:-
Infrared coagulation:- High temperatures are applied to remove hemorrhoids in men and in women. A special device is used to burn the node until it drops off.
Sclerotherapy:- A special substance is injected into the node to cut off the blood supply to the growth around the anus.
Rubber band ligation:- The hemorrhoid is tied off at its base with rubber bands, cutting off the blood flow and in a week the nodes drop off.
Laser scalpel:- The energy of laser light impacts an anal lump. Laser coagulation cuts off the node and the wound is immediately treated.
Consult your GP for further treatments. hope this was helpful. have a healthy day.
