What Does A Painful Bruise On The Hips Indicate?

I woke up last week to what felt like a bruise on the front part of my hip bone....not in the joint but right on the bony part on the left side. and I hurt really bad when I walk. The pain isn t letting up either. Just a sharp stabbing pain. It eases up when I sit down, but that s about it.

Hello,

It could be an inflammatory bruise following a minor trauma. As of now, you can use analgesics/anti-inflammatory combination like aceclofenac/serratiopeptidase for symptomatic relief.

Wishing You can apply ice packs for symptomatic relief. If symptoms persist, it is better to consult a physician and get evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
