What Does A Painful And Hard Growth On The Heel Indicate?

I have a growth which grew in one day on the back of my heel. It s hard but very painful. Sometimes I do get gout but that is always on my left foot and in my big toe. This is on my right heel. It s not painful unless you touch it or the show touches it.

Pathologist and Microbiologist 's  Response
Hello,

Gout is seen in toes and not in the heel. The lesion on the heel can be due to corn. I suggest you consult a surgeon for clinical assessment of the lesion.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Shailja Puri , Pathologist and Microbiologist
