What Does A Movable Lump On Lower Back Indicate?

I have some sort of lump on lower back on right side thathat seems maybe like a golf ball size and I can move it slightly with touch. Also a little one in same area just on the other side of the spine on the left. I noticed it some time ago (maybe a 2-3 yrs back) was smaller and seems to have grown (also back then I only remember noticing on right side only). I have thought about from time to time only when my back was really hurting and I would feel it when I would hold/rub lower back. The pain is REALLY getting bad and hurts from lower back all the way down my legs. It hurts sometimes so bad I hate to have to get up to move around the house. I m a 34 yr old female. And hate to go to hospital or doctor About it because now days it seems that they think all you want is medicine. I haven t had a dr look at it do to be treated like that in the past with kidney stones (my kidney walls are covered with stones I have been told. Have even had surgerys for them yrs ago. But I suffer thru them at home now and won t go to dr due to the bad experience). Even though it s sometimes almost unbearable I still don t go. But this lump along with the pain is REALLY making me uneasy. Is there anything I can do to make this better so I can move about due dishes etc without feeling like im gonna fall to the floor. It s really feels like I can t take another step sometimes the pain is so very bad. Please help
