My question is regarding my husband. He s had a knot on his right shin for two weeks. His family physician at first thought it was a superficial blood clot in his vein. He put him on an high dose anti-inflammatory drug for 10 days. Didn t do anything - pain gradually getting worse. Went back to the doctor - he sent him for an ultrasound. Initially said looked like a cystic lesion - call back in a couple of weeks and we will see how it looks then. Same afternoon the doctor called back and said he was sending him to an orthopedic surgeon. After the sonogram the pain intensified and there is faint bruising on the inside of his foot. The earliest appointment for the orthopedic is next week. Pain hasn t subsided at all since the sonogram. Any ideas on what it could be and do we wait until next week for the appointment? Thanks!
