What Does A Lump In The Rectum Indicate?

I woke up yesterday morning and there was a lump on my rectum it didn t hurt then today while at work I felt discomfort. Couldn t stand in the same place to long but felt relief when I sat down. Then I woke up tonight and was in a little pain. What do you think is wrong?

I would have recommended my patient for a surgeon's consultation. The symptoms that you have mentioned points towards internal haemorrhoid. But a per rectal examination will throw more light and can ascertain the lump more appropriately.
