General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Hard, painless lump under the skin of the thigh commonly is skin cysts, lipoma ( it may be soft or hard) or dermatofibromas. These are all benign & harmless, but you will need treatment to reduce the risk of complications.

You are suggested to visit ER, get physically examined. Get CBC, Urinalysis & Imaging tests done. Your treating doctor may tell you to do biopsy to stay on the safer side. Your treatment will depend upon the pathology detected.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K, General & Family Physician
