What Does A Clival Lesion On An MRI Report Suggest?

Hi I have had many neurological symptoms over quite a few years and have a few diagnosis including FND, Fibro and recently a Clival lesion. This is being monitored as only small for either possible Notochord or Clival Chordoma. Although I have had numerous MRI scans this was only discovered last year. My question is i) could this lesion have been missed on earlier scans or is the Clival always checked on Head scans ii) do notochords tumours grow?

Radiologist 's  Response
Hi,

The clivus is a part of the skull near the sell area. Notochord continues to form the vertebral column. Therefore there is a likely bone lesion which is in the location of clivus.

One needs to see previous images to confirm it the lesion was missed previously.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Vivek Chail,
