I HAVE BEEN TO A DOCTOR WITH ROSACEA BREAKOUT ON MY RIGHT CHEEK, ITCHING ETC. I AM TAKING DOXYCYCLINE MONO 50 MG ONE DAILY. I HAVE ENCREASED SPREADING GOING INTO THE CORNER OF MY EYE, SO THE DOSAGE IS BEING INCREASED. HOW LONG WILL THIS TAKE? HOW DO I KEEP IT FROM HAPPENING?

Hello, It is my pleasure to be able to help you. I have gone through your history as you are having Rosacea affecting the cheek which has extended to affect eye. This might me ocular rosacea. This type of infection may require Long-term treatment, usually one to two years, may result in permanent control of the condition for some patients. Lifelong treatment is often necessary, although some cases resolve after a while and go into a permanent remission.
